Luigi and Guido's Christmas 2011

So this year we celebrated Christmas at Alesch's. We decided to keep with the tradition of sleeping over and when we wake up we do a family photo on the stairs before we come down to see whats under the tree.

It was a very special Christmas this year being Paxton's first. It was also special because it was Michele's first year off on Christmas since she has worked at the hospital.

Special thanks to Mom and Dad for making Christmas such a special time.

Christmas at the Lucido's with all of the kids was a really fun time. Seeing the cousins run around and play with each other and enjoying the aunts and uncles, is what Christmas is all about. Grandpa Joe made a delicious turkey while everyone else contributed with scrumdillyicous sides, desserts and drinks.

This year Grandpa Joe and Grandma Shelley got Luigi and Guido and train set. After setting up the train over night I recorded Luigi and Guido coming out of their room and seeing the train for the first time.

Pictures say a thousand words, I was just enjoying catching Guido in the dishwasher.

Two M&M's

So Michele and I decided to reward Blake with two M&M's when he goes poddy.

Tonight when we were changing him he asked "2 M&M's.. go poddy" so like we have done a handful of time already he let him sit up on the big poddy and try.

Tonight was his first successful poddy experience and he was very excited to get his 2 M&M's.

Right afterwards he asked to go again so we said "sure if you think you can go again"

Nothing was stopping this kid, he squeezed and squeezed was able to get a little more out and was rewarded with his two M&M's.

We hope this is a new beginning.

Phrase of the Day

I ordered some aprons online the other day for the kids when they do crafts. So today they came in the mail and I opened them up and showed them to Blake and said "hey Blake daddy got you this apron" and he say's "oh that's nice dadda", "thats nice..."

So Michele and I decided to start our veggie garden. Well we decided this in September which is not the best time to start a veggie garden.

So after a little research we decided to grow beats, spinach, bok choy, red leaf lettuce and kale. If anyone knows Michele her thumb is fare from green but I would have to say that I am very proud of her success.

Car Attacks

For the past 10 years I have joined Michele's family tradition of driving up into the Santa Cruz Mountains and bring back a Christmas tree. We always end our adventure with lunch at Happy Hound in Los Gatos. This was Paxton's first Year joining us and Blake's Second year. It continues to make fun and memorable moments. The video was just a little clip I took while getting gas on our way back home from getting our tree.
